| HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

| BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 4 |
| SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that there is hereby established the |
| 5 |
| Illinois Military Installation Realignment and Closure Task |
| 6 |
| Force; and be it further
|
| 7 |
| RESOLVED, That the members of the Task Force shall consist |
| 8 |
| of all members of the General Assembly who represent a district |
| 9 |
| that includes a military installation and any other member of |
| 10 |
| the General Assembly appointed by the Speaker of the House of |
| 11 |
| Representatives, the President of the Senate, the Minority |
| 12 |
| Leader of the House of Representatives, or the Minority Leader |
| 13 |
| of the Senate; and be it further
|
| 14 |
| RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall gather information and |
| 15 |
| make findings concerning the effect of the realignment and |
| 16 |
| closure of military installations in Illinois, make site visits |
| 17 |
| to military installations in Illinois, monitor the closing and |
| 18 |
| realignment process, and urge the Department of Defense and |
| 19 |
| Congress not to realign or close any Illinois military |
| 20 |
| installation; and be it further
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, That it is the intent of the General Assembly to |
| 22 |
| take any steps necessary to continually monitor the realignment |
| 23 |
| and closure of any Illinois military installation; and be it |
| 24 |
| further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to the President of the Senate, the Minority Leader |
| 27 |
| of the Senate, the
Speaker of the House of Representatives, the |
| 28 |
| Minority Leader of the House
of Representatives, the Secretary |
| 29 |
| of Defense, and each member of the Illinois Congressional |
| 30 |
| delegation.
