    AN ACT in relation to government records.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Local Records Act is amended by changing

Section 5 as follows:

    (50 ILCS 205/5)  (from Ch. 116, par. 43.105)

    Sec. 5. The Archivist shall be local records advisor and 
8
shall appoint
any
such
assistants as necessary to assist local 
9
governments in carrying out the
purposes of this Act.
