SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Deanna Z. Wilkins of Lombard, who 
4passed away on April 14, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins, the daughter of David R. Zorn and 
6Sondra S. Zorn, was born on June 6, 1965; she married Dean 
7Wilkins at Grace Baptist Church in Lombard on September 6, 
81986; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins served as a trustee and as 
10assessor for York Township, offering 30 years of service; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins dedicated her time and leadership 
12to many organizations across Illinois, including serving as a 
13founding member and former president of DuPage County Animal 
14Care and Control and being active with the Rotary Club of 
15Lombard and the Warm Coats Project; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins enjoyed gardening, traveling, and 
17caring for those she loved; most of all, she cherished 
18spending time with her family; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins was a devoted wife, mother, 
20grandmother, and civic leader; she lived generously, gave

1freely, and built a life centered on kindness, connection, and 
2service; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Deanna Wilkins was the wife of 40 years of Dean; 
4the mother of Josh (Alexandra) Wilkins; the grandmother of 
5Caiden Wilkins; the sister of David K. Zorn, Susan Zorn, 
6Steven (Jennifer) Zorn, and Kristi LaHuis; an aunt; a 
7great-aunt; and a friend to many; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
10Deanna Z. Wilkins and extend our sincere condolences to her 
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Deanna Wilkins as an expression of 
15our deepest sympathy.
