| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to |
| 3 | | congratulate Carle Health Medical Group on the occasion of |
| 4 | | receiving the 2026 American Medical Group Association (AMGA) |
| 5 | | Acclaim Award; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, AMGA, a trade association leading the |
| 7 | | transformation of healthcare in America and representing more |
| 8 | | than 175,000 practicing physicians, honors healthcare delivery |
| 9 | | groups that bring the American healthcare system closer to the |
| 10 | | ideal delivery model, one that is safe, effective, |
| 11 | | patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable, through |
| 12 | | its Acclaim Award; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, The AMGA Acclaim Award's criteria includes |
| 14 | | improving the patient experience of care, improving the health |
| 15 | | of populations with a focus on quality outcomes, reducing the |
| 16 | | per capita cost of healthcare, and emphasizing workplace |
| 17 | | wellness; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Carle Health Medical Group was named the |
| 19 | | recipient of the 2026 AMGA Acclaim Award in honor of the |
| 20 | | coordinated and innovative work of Healthy Beginnings, a |
| 21 | | maternal/child nurse home visiting service that is part of the |
| 22 | | medical institution's Community Health Initiatives; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Healthy Beginnings was launched with the clear |
| 2 | | goal of achieving maternal/child health equity by having |
| 3 | | specially trained nurses, social workers, community |
| 4 | | ambassadors, and early childhood educators visit families, |
| 5 | | starting in early pregnancy and continuing through the child's |
| 6 | | second birthday; since its 2017 inception, more than 1,200 |
| 7 | | families facing various socioeconomic challenges have enrolled |
| 8 | | in the service, and in 2024, the service expanded from |
| 9 | | Champaign County to Vermilion County; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Through Healthy Beginnings, Carle Health Medical |
| 11 | | Group was recognized by AMGA for the service's integration |
| 12 | | with the health system, high enrollee satisfaction, delivery |
| 13 | | of culturally responsive, relationship-based care, exceptional |
| 14 | | health and wellness outcomes, and focus on team stability and |
| 15 | | well-being; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Carle Health Medical Group receiving the 2026 |
| 17 | | AMGA Acclaim Award highlights the medical institution's |
| 18 | | unwavering commitment to providing highly accessible, |
| 19 | | world-class care and service to its community as part of its |
| 20 | | overarching goal of ensuring that everyone, regardless of |
| 21 | | their life circumstances, has the opportunity to lead a |
| 22 | | prosperous and healthy life; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Carle Health Medical Group is currently led by |
| 2 | | President and CEO James C. Leonard, M.D., in addition to the |
| 3 | | Carle Health Executive Leadership Team and the Carle Health |
| 4 | | Board of Trustees; therefore, be it
|
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Carle |
| 7 | | Health Medical Group on being the recipient of the 2026 |
| 8 | | American Medical Group Association (AMGA) Acclaim Award, and |
| 9 | | we thank the medical institution for its continued commitment |
| 10 | | to serving its community and ensuring its overall well-being; |
| 11 | | and be it further
