SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Kenneth "Ken" Morton of Mahomet, who 
4passed away on April 5, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ken Morton, the son of Edward and Hazel Morton, 
6was born on June 19, 1935; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Ken Morton was a member of Shriners Children's 
8Hospital and the Mahomet Masonic Lodge; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ken Morton enjoyed working in his yard and 
10spending time outdoors, and he loved spending time with his 
11grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ken Morton was preceded in death by his parents 
13and his sister, Margaret Hadler; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Ken Morton is survived by his wife of 72 years, 
15Carol; his daughter, Kenna (Curtis) Mitchem; two 
16grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Linda 
17Warren; therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Kenneth "Ken" Morton and extend our sincere condolences to his 
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it

4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
