SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Linda N. Hoefert of Mount Prospect,
4who passed away on October 19, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Linda Hoefert was born to Robert and Barbara
6(Brayton) Nelson in Elgin on December 6, 1955; she was raised
7in Crystal Lake and Cary, and she attended Cary-Grove High
8School; she received a degree in accounting from Miami
9University of Ohio; she married Paul Hoefert; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Linda Hoefert worked as a commercial banker at
11First National Bank before devoting herself to raising her
12family; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Linda Hoefert was active with Trinity United
14Methodist Church; she volunteered in various organizations,
15including the Mount Prospect Historical Society, Infant
16Welfare, P.E.O., and Scout Troop 23, and she was a longtime
17member of the Village of Mount Prospect's Special Events
18Commission; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Linda Hoefert loved taking trips to her family
20cabin in Mercer, Wisconsin; she enjoyed renovating her older
21home, gardening, bird-watching, and being in nature; she

1especially enjoyed spending time with her family; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Linda Hoefert was an amazing spouse, mother,
3daughter, sister, and friend to many; she will be remembered
4as a loyal person who was always willing to help her family,
5her friends, and her community; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Linda Hoefert was preceded in death by her
7parents; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Linda Hoefert is survived by her husband, Paul;
9her sons, Alex (Sara) Hoefert and Andrew Hoefert; three
10grandchildren; her siblings, Bob Nelson and Susan (Denny)
11Rasmussen; her extended family; and many close friends;
12therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Linda N. Hoefert and extend our sincere condolences to her
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Linda Hoefert as an expression of
20our deepest sympathy.
