SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Dale E. Firof of Macomb, who passed
4away on September 25, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dale Firof was born in Galesburg on June 16,
61950; he graduated from Monmouth High School; he joined the
7United States Army in 1969, and he served in the Vietnam War;
8he married Susan Burger on May 25, 1974; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dale Firof worked for various plumbing and
10heating companies throughout his career, and he was a co-owner
11of G&M Mechanical with two partners; he later served as
12building inspector for the City of Macomb; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Dale Firof and his wife loved camping, spending
14many joyful years at Jacks Fork Campground along Jacks Fork
15River in Eminence, Missouri; he was also a lifelong sports
16enthusiast and an avid Dallas Cowboys fan; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Dale Firof built a life centered around love,
18family, and lasting friendships; he will be remembered for the
19many lives he touched throughout the years; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dale Firof was preceded in death by his wife,

1Susan; his parents; his in-laws; his sister; and his pets,
2including his most recent companion, Cody Joe; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Dale Firof is survived by his children, Chris
4(Esther) Firof, Mindy (Mike) Pilat, and Trish (David)
5Bromwell; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, with
6one more on the way; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Dale E. Firof and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Dale Firof as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
