SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Eldon Duane Wahlfeld of Manito, who
4passed away on August 8, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld was born to Henry and Blanche
6(Conklin) Wahlfeld in Bishop on February 23, 1936; he served
7in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1960; he married
8Newell Ann Fleming at St. John Lutheran Church in Topeka on
9March 17, 1963; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld, after his military service,
11worked as an electrician at the Archer-Daniels-Midland Company
12(ADM) until his retirement in 1993; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld was a member of the VFW in Pekin
14and the antique tractor club in Manito; he also enjoyed
15woodworking; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld was preceded in death by his
17parents and his brother, Howard Wahlfeld; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Eldon Wahlfeld is survived by his wife of 62
19years, Newell Ann Wahlfeld; his sons, Dale (Jody) Wahlfeld and
20Gary Wahlfeld; his grandson, James (Gabby) Wahlfeld; and his

1sister, Eloise Rose; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Eldon Duane Wahlfeld and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Eldon Wahlfeld as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
