SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Marvin Eugene McClure of Macomb, who
4passed away on September 24, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marvin McClure was born to Sherod and Bessie
6Bolding McClure in Salem, Indiana on April 30, 1939; he
7married Gloria Rodarmel in Alfordsville, Indiana on December
817, 1961; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marvin McClure served in the United States Army,
10and he worked as a missile systems instructor for the U.S. Army
11for 24 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Marvin McClure resided in Macomb for the last 20
13years, where he was a member of Wesley United Methodist
14Church; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Marvin McClure enjoyed woodworking and doing
16mechanical work on cars; he was also a fan of college and
17professional football; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Marvin McClure was preceded in death by his
19parents; his son, Kevin McClure; his grandson, Kevin "Zeke"
20McClure; and Vivian Brewer; and

1    WHEREAS, Marvin McClure is survived by his wife of 63
2years, Gloria; his children, Kent (Jackie) McClure and
3Kimberley (Jim) McClure Sanders; five grandchildren; seven
4great-grandchildren; his sisters, Shirley Gillenwater and
5Wanda Marble; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Marvin Eugene McClure and extend our sincere condolences to
9his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Marvin McClure as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
