| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Anna Hamm Sadowski, who passed away on |
| 4 | | May 27, 2025 at the age of 96; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Anna Sadowski was born to Henry S. Hamm and Nina |
| 6 | | Valliant Hamm in Dover, Delaware in 1928; and |
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Anna Sadowski married Raymond Sadowski in 1949, |
| 8 | | and they moved to Oak Park in 1956, where they decided to raise |
| 9 | | their family of four children; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Anna Sadowski earned a degree in early childhood |
| 11 | | education in 1977; she then taught at the Pilgrim Community |
| 12 | | Preschool for 33 years, where she educated five of her |
| 13 | | grandchildren and numerous other children from many |
| 14 | | generations of Oak Park residents; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Anna Sadowski spent her life infatuated with |
| 16 | | nature and learning, using the internet to research nature |
| 17 | | facts and to watch bird cams; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Anna Sadowski took several nature trips, most |
| 19 | | prominently to Chautauqua, New York and to explore Lewis and |
| 20 | | Clark's route from Missouri to Oregon; and |
