SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of David "Dave" Hohl, who passed away on
4August 10, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave Hohl was born to Clem and Angela Hohl in
6Springfield on July 12, 1944; he graduated from Griffin High
7School, where he served as student body president; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Dave Hohl, shortly after his high school
9graduation, began working in auto parts sales; he excelled in
10his career, being rewarded with trips around the world, and
11established close relationships with his customers, many of
12which became lifelong friendships; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Dave Hohl enjoyed hunting, mushroom hunting,
14fishing, and walking in and caring for the woods on his
15property; he also enjoyed riding on his motorcycle and dirt
16bike in the hills of Missouri with his friends; he loved
17hosting holiday meals for family and friends alike, serving
18his venison chilli and charcoal chicken; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Dave Hohl greatly respected the environment and
20the conservation of natural resources, and he always put his
21family first; and

1    WHEREAS, Dave Hohl was preceded in death by his parents
2and his brother, Clem Jo Hohl; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Dave Hohl is survived by his sisters, Ruth
4(Bruce) Hoefnagel, Rheta Miller, and Robin Hohl; his children,
5Craig Hohl, Marla (Clay) Deval, and Dan Hohl; three
6grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9David "Dave" Hohl and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Dave Hohl as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
