SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Pivoroff Sr., who passed
4away on July 21, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Bob Pivoroff, the son of the late Paul and Helen
6(Fogiel) Pivoroff, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on
7October 12, 1949; he served in the United States Army from 1969
8to 1970, where he was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina;
9he resided in Augusta, Maine for 17 years before moving to the
10Midwest in 2018 to be closer to his son and grandson; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bob Pivoroff's career spanned various roles,
12including at a newspaper and a furniture store; he later
13worked with his father at Sterling Dye in the boiler room; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bob Pivoroff loved fishing, coin collecting, and
15spending time with his friends, Steve, Charlie, and Ray; as a
16devoted father, he enjoyed taking his son to various
17activities, including baseball games and fishing trips; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bob Pivoroff was known for his kindness, his
19generous spirit, and his strong faith; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Bob Pivoroff is survived by his son, Robert (Bob)

1Pivoroff Jr.; his grandson, Lukas Tharen Pivoroff; his
2siblings, Carl Pivoroff, Gloria (Larry) Watson, Paula
3(Osceola) Elliss, and Christine (Steve) Bird; and many nieces,
4nephews, and other relatives; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Robert "Bob" Pivoroff Sr. and extend our sincere condolences
8to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Bob Pivoroff as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
