SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Bradley James Lund of Springfield, who passed away on June 2, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Bradley Lund was born on April 4, 2017; from the very beginning, he was a gentle, joyful soul who was quiet and observant in new places but endlessly sweet, silly, and full of laughter at home and among those he loved most; and

WHEREAS, Bradley Lund was a second grader at Glenwood Elementary School at the time of passing, where he was known for his bright smile, contagious laughter, and kind spirit; and

WHEREAS, Bradley Lund delighted in the simple joys of childhood, building intricate creations with Legos and Magna-Tiles, drawing imaginative scenes, exploring the worlds of the Dog Man books, and playing video games that brought his creative mind to life; he especially loved superheroes, sharks, cars, dinosaurs, and spending time outside, where he enjoyed getting messy, exploring, and avoiding baths at all costs; and

WHEREAS, Bradley Lund had a heart full of wonder and a boundless capacity for joy; he found comfort in story time snuggles with his mom, was an avid volunteer alongside his family, and brought happiness to every life he touched; and

WHEREAS, Bradley Lund was known for his playful spirit, his curiosity, and the quiet joy he radiated, and he will be remembered for his legacy of love, laughter, compassion, and creativity; and

WHEREAS, Bradley Lund was the youngest child of Daniel and Cynthia Lund and the younger brother of Addison, Evelyn, and Nora; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bradley James Lund and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bradley Lund as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
