SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Drew D. Duzinskas of New Lenox, who 
4passed away on August 16, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Drew Duzinskas was born to Douglas and Nancy 
6(Miller) Duzinskas in Oak Lawn on June 3, 1983; he graduated 
7from the University of Illinois Springfield in 2007; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Drew Duzinskas was a member of the Will County 
9Democrats, a union organizer, and a political consultant; he 
10also served as a political influencer on TikTok, where he was 
11known as "Your boy from Illinois"; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Drew Duzinskas continued to fight for the common 
13people while trying to improve working conditions at Amazon 
14through efforts to organize a union, posting videos and 
15sharing his experiences with others who he felt could improve 
16things; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Drew Duzinskas believed deeply in the power of 
18the people and the possibility of change; he championed the 
19cause of the underdog in monumental battles, understanding 
20that unity could overcome any obstacle; his life's work was a 
21testament to that belief, and he remained steadfastly

1dedicated to the principle of "for the people"; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Drew Duzinskas loved playing disc golf, and he 
3also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Drew Duzinskas, affectionately known as "Duzi 
5Drew", will be remembered for his easy smile, big stature, and 
6big personality; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Drew Duzinskas was the son of Douglas and Nancy 
8Duzinskas; the brother of Diana Duzinskas and Dustin (fiancee, 
9Liz Stimac) Duzinskas; and a nephew, cousin, and friend; 
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
13Drew D. Duzinskas and extend our sincere condolences to his 
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
17presented to the family of Drew Duzinskas as an expression of 
18our deepest sympathy.
