| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened  | 
| 3 |  | to learn of the death of Natasha Renee Bell Harris Maxey, who  | 
| 4 |  | passed away on June 26, 2025; and   | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, Natasha Maxey was born to Janet Bell Harris on  | 
| 6 |  | July 16, 1978; as a child, she attended True Holiness Church of  | 
| 7 |  | God in Christ (COGIC), where she was baptized, and Chateaux  | 
| 8 |  | School; she graduated from Tabernacle Christian Academy and  | 
| 9 |  | Thornton Township High School; she attended Illinois State  | 
| 10 |  | University, and she later received her associate's degree from  | 
| 11 |  | South Suburban College; at the time of her passing, she was  | 
| 12 |  | pursuing a bachelor's degree; she married Jeffery Maxey at  | 
| 13 |  | True Holiness COGIC on August 1, 2009; and   | 
| 14 |  |     WHEREAS, Natasha Maxey founded the family business Maxey  | 
| 15 |  | Advancement Board Up Clean Out and Lawn Care Services; she  | 
| 16 |  | also served as a manager at McDonald's before working at AT&T  | 
| 17 |  | for 10 years; she later worked for BNSF Railroad in the City of  | 
| 18 |  | Chicago, TSA Security at Chicago O'Hare International Airport,  | 
| 19 |  | and at Taft School and Coolidge Middle School for South  | 
| 20 |  | Holland School District 151; she also helped others as a  | 
| 21 |  | skilled tax preparer; and   | 
| 22 |  |     WHEREAS, Natasha Maxey loved experiencing the best in  |

| 1 |  | life, including eating at top restaurants, taking great trips  | 
| 2 |  | and plane rides, and visiting amusement parks; and   | 
| 3 |  |     WHEREAS, Natasha Maxey was a beautiful, smart, vibrant,  | 
| 4 |  | and fearless person and her children's biggest cheerleader;  | 
| 5 |  | she made sure her family knew how much she loved them, and she  | 
| 6 |  | was a great asset to her family through her hard work ethic;  | 
| 7 |  | and   | 
| 8 |  |     WHEREAS, Natasha Maxey was preceded in death by her  | 
| 9 |  | grandparents, Superintendent Pastor James C. Harris, Herman  | 
| 10 |  | Bell, and Mother Cecelia Cole Bell; and   | 
| 11 |  |     WHEREAS, Natasha Maxey is survived by her husband of 15  | 
| 12 |  | years, Jeffery; her children, Cortny, Chrystinn, Chynna,  | 
| 13 |  | Cymone, Chrysette, and Colbi; her parents, Evangelist Janet  | 
| 14 |  | Bell Harris and Pastor Carl Harris; her grandmother, Mother  | 
| 15 |  | Calitha Harris; her siblings, Carl (Princess) Harris II,  | 
| 16 |  | Natrice (Tracy Sr.) Stingley, Nicole Harris, and Natalie  | 
| 17 |  | Harris; her biological father, Dwayne Boylan; her bonus  | 
| 18 |  | daughters, Brittenay Maxey and Bianca Maiden; two bonus  | 
| 19 |  | grandchildren; her best friends, Aja Montgomery, Monique  | 
| 20 |  | Smith, and Ginger Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts,  | 
| 21 |  | uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it   |
