| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened  | 
| 3 |  | to learn of the death of Joseph Charles "Joe" Bierman, who  | 
| 4 |  | passed away on May 28, 2025; and   | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, Joe Bierman, the son of Clem and Agnes (Cohorst)  | 
| 6 |  | Bierman, was born in Effingham on March 2, 1940; he attended  | 
| 7 |  | Jasper County schools; he served in the U.S. Army Reserves; he  | 
| 8 |  | married Mary Jane Repking on April 24, 1965; and   | 
| 9 |  |     WHEREAS, Joe Bierman dedicated his life to dairy farming,  | 
| 10 |  | a profession he carried with pride and love; and   | 
| 11 |  |     WHEREAS, Joe Bierman was a devoted member of St. Thomas  | 
| 12 |  | Catholic Church, and his faith was central to his life; as a  | 
| 13 |  | committed community member, he was actively involved in  | 
| 14 |  | various organizations and served on numerous boards; and   | 
| 15 |  |     WHEREAS, Joe Bierman was an avid fast-pitch softball  | 
| 16 |  | player, who stood on the mound for over 40 years; and   | 
| 17 |  |     WHEREAS, Joe Bierman was known for his humility and  | 
| 18 |  | generosity, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him; and   | 
| 19 |  |     WHEREAS, Joe Bierman was preceded in death by his son,  |
