| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened  | 
| 3 |  | to learn of the death of Amy Rae Gudgel of Pawnee, who passed  | 
| 4 |  | away on May 16, 2025; and   | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, Amy Gudgel, the daughter of Steve L. and Anida R.  | 
| 6 |  | Ellis Riney, was born in Keokuk, Iowa on October 15, 1971; she  | 
| 7 |  | graduated from Lanphier High School in Springfield in 1989;  | 
| 8 |  | she married Steven E. "Steve" Gudgel at St. Benedict's Church  | 
| 9 |  | in Auburn on July 13, 1996; and   | 
| 10 |  |     WHEREAS, Amy Gudgel worked as a dispatcher for the  | 
| 11 |  | Sangamon County Sheriff's Office for five years and then in  | 
| 12 |  | management at the Corporation Service Company (CSC) in  | 
| 13 |  | Springfield for 26 years; and   | 
| 14 |  |     WHEREAS, Amy Gudgel enjoyed taking trips to Mexico and  | 
| 15 |  | riding in her Bronco with the top off; she always loved having  | 
| 16 |  | fun, including relaxing in a pool, playing poker with family  | 
| 17 |  | and friends, and spending time with those she loved; and   | 
| 18 |  |     WHEREAS, Amy Gudgel was preceded in death by her father  | 
| 19 |  | and her niece, Megan Sheppard; and   | 
| 20 |  |     WHEREAS, Amy Gudgel is survived by her husband of 28  |
