SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Candice "Candy" Law of Pana, who
4passed away on May 14, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Candy Law was born to Wallace and Ruth (Eggerman)
6Lesko in Pana on July 29, 1956; she received an associate
7degree from Lake Land College; she married Kerwin Law at
8Buckeye Church on September 20, 1985; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Candy Law worked as a paraprofessional at Pana
10Elementary School for 30 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Candy Law was a member of the First Church of the
12Nazarene, Pana, where she taught children's church for 25
13year; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Candy Law loved animals, crafts, and iced coffee;
15most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Candy Law was preceded in death by her parents
18and her sister, Joyce Laker; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Candy Law is survived by her husband of 39 years,

1Kerwin; her children, Christopher (Heidi) Gould, Heather
2(Jake) Phillips, and Amy (Dustin) Amos; six grandchildren; two
3great-grandchildren; and her brother, Joe Lesko; therefore, be

5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Candice "Candy" Law and extend our sincere condolences to her
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Candy Law as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
