SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Richard Enderle of Oak Park and River
4Forest, who passed away on January 7, 2025 at the age of 94;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was born to John P. and Edith
7Fischer Enderle in Chicago in 1930, and he grew up with his
8siblings, Bill (Sue), Marge (Bob Johnston), and Geri (Hal
9Stromsen); and
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle graduated from Fenwick High
11School in 1949, and he continued his education at St. Ambrose
12College in Davenport, Iowa before serving in the U.S. Army
13during the Korean War; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle's service was highlighted by his
15selection as a member of the United Nations Honor Guard in
16Seoul, where he represented the United States for over a year;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle completed his college education
19following his discharge, earning a degree from DePaul
20University; and

1    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was a consummate salesman and
2spent most of his successful career in the computer business;
3and
 
4    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan
5and former season ticket holder, and he cheered for Notre Dame
6in all of its endeavors; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle loved sailing in Lake Geneva with
8his family, where they created many great memories together,
9golfing with his friends, and working out and socializing at
10the Loyola Health Club; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Enderle was preceded in death by his
12parents and siblings; and
 
13    WHEREAS, At the time of his passing, Richard Enderle was
14survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Gladys Turner Enderle;
15his children, Elizabeth (Jim Reid), Richard (Beth), John
16(Amy), and David (Melinda); his grandchildren, Ryan Reid, Eric
17(Elisabeth) Reid, Sean (Abby) Reid, Jillian Reid, Taylor
18Enderle, Patrick Enderle, Grace Enderle, and Turner Enderle;
19and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Richard Enderle and extend our sincere condolences to his
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of Richard Enderle as an expression of
6our deepest sympathy.
