SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Ainsley Grace Johnson of Chatham, who
4passed away on April 28, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ainsley Johnson, the daughter of Todd and Christy
6(Fuhrer) Johnson, was born in Springfield on February 16,
72017; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ainsley Johnson was a second-grade student at
9Glenwood Elementary School, where she was loved and supported
10by her friends and teachers; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ainsley Johnson enjoyed dancing at Studio M Dance
12Center and participating as a soccer player with the
13Springfield Area Soccer Association (SASA) Youth Recreational
14League; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ainsley Johnson was a music lover, often singing
16along to any song she heard and borrowing her father's AirPods
17while he was mowing to listen along with him; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Ainsley Johnson also loved art, makeup, swimming,
19boating, and spending time at the lake, and she always looked
20forward to going on vacations with her family, knowing she

1could spend her mother's money on things she wanted; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Ainsley Johnson is survived by her parents; her
3older sister, Avery Taylor Johnson; her maternal grandparents,
4Joyce (Riggs) and John Hyde and Susie (the late Steve) Fuhrer;
5her paternal grandparents, Galen and Marsha (Beam) Johnson;
6her aunts and uncles, Kelli (Fuhrer) and Kevin Pologruto and
7Amy (Johnson) and Tim Boblitt; and her cousins, Adalyn and
8Griffin Boblitt; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Ainsley Grace Johnson and extend our sincere condolences to
12her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Ainsley Johnson as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
