| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened  | 
| 3 |  | to learn of the death of Ronald Eugene "Ron" LaRoe Sr. of  | 
| 4 |  | Bartonville, who passed away on April 20, 2025; and   | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe, the son of LeRoy Withers LaRoe and  | 
| 6 |  | Nina LaRoe, was born on February 16, 1942; he married Beverly  | 
| 7 |  | Latham in Urbana on November 17, 1970; and   | 
| 8 |  |     WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe served in the U.S. Army for more than 26  | 
| 9 |  | years, and he was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation  | 
| 10 |  | Desert Storm, retiring as an E-7 in 1999; for his military  | 
| 11 |  | service, he was awarded a number of accolades, including the  | 
| 12 |  | Bronze Star; and   | 
| 13 |  |     WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe was a member of Limestone American  | 
| 14 |  | Legion Post #979; and   | 
| 15 |  |     WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe was an avid golfer and woodworker; and   | 
| 16 |  |     WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe was preceded in death by his parents;  | 
| 17 |  | his grandparents; and his daughter, Nina Marie LaRoe; and   | 
| 18 |  |     WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe is survived by his wife of 54 years,  | 
| 19 |  | Beverly; his sons, Wesley R. (Jessica) LaRoe and Ronald E.  |
