SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Ronald Eugene "Ron" LaRoe Sr. of
4Bartonville, who passed away on April 20, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe, the son of LeRoy Withers LaRoe and
6Nina LaRoe, was born on February 16, 1942; he married Beverly
7Latham in Urbana on November 17, 1970; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe served in the U.S. Army for more than 26
9years, and he was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation
10Desert Storm, retiring as an E-7 in 1999; for his military
11service, he was awarded a number of accolades, including the
12Bronze Star; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe was a member of Limestone American
14Legion Post #979; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe was an avid golfer and woodworker; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe was preceded in death by his parents;
17his grandparents; and his daughter, Nina Marie LaRoe; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Ron LaRoe is survived by his wife of 54 years,
19Beverly; his sons, Wesley R. (Jessica) LaRoe and Ronald E.

1(Michelle) LaRoe Jr.; and five grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Ronald Eugene "Ron" LaRoe Sr. and extend our sincere
5condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
6him; and be it further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Ron LaRoe an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
