SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of William Jeffrey "Jeff" Minor of 
4Eldorado, who passed away on April 28, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was born to John William and Irene 
6(Gates) Minor O'Neal in Eldorado on May 15, 1955; he married 
7Pandora Pate on November 15, 1974; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was a precinct committeeman and a 
9member of the Eldorado City Council, where he served as police 
10and fire commissioner from 2003 until his passing; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was a member of Eldorado First United 
12Methodist Church, where he served on the Building Committee; 
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was the longtime scorekeeper for 
15Eldorado High School Athletics; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was known for truly and deeply loving 
17his friends and family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was preceded in death by his parents; 
19and

1    WHEREAS, Jeff Minor is survived by his wife of 50 years, 
2Pandora; his daughters, Lexie (Kyle) Barton and Laura (Nick) 
3Zurliene; five grandchildren; his brother, Jon (Shelia) Minor; 
4his sisters, Jonene Hall, Jolene Sachel, Stephanie Pool, and 
5Jennifer (Chad) Moore; and several nieces, nephews, and 
6cousins; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9William Jeffrey "Jeff" Minor and extend our sincere 
10condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
11him; and be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Jeff Minor as an expression of our 
14deepest sympathy.
