SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Brantly Russell Biggs, who passed away
4on January 3, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Brantly Biggs was born in Evansville, Indiana on
6July 26, 1976; he was raised in Harrisburg, Illinois, where he
7attended local schools, leading him to attend Southeastern
8Illinois College; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Brantly Biggs, as an ordained non-denominational
10minister, dedicated his life to serving others, offering
11guidance, comfort, and spiritual support to countless
12individuals; his compassionate nature and unwavering
13dedication to his faith were evident in every aspect of his
14ministry; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Brantly Biggs, alongside his spiritual work,
16pursued a successful career as a real estate agent in Hilton
17Head, South Carolina, where his charismatic personality and
18honest approach to business earned him the trust and respect
19of clients and colleagues alike; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Brantly Biggs' interests were as diverse as his
21talents, and his most recent passion was becoming an

1instructor for concealed carry firearms training, a role in
2which he excelled by combining his commitment to personal
3safety with his ability to teach and empower others; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Brantly Biggs was a man of deep faith and
5integrity who possessed a warm sense of humor that endeared
6him to all who knew him; he will be remembered for his
7laughter, wisdom, and generosity of spirit; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Brantly Biggs was preceded in death by his
9father, Darrell "Butch" Biggs; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Brantly Biggs, at the time of his passing, was
11survived by his mother, Eugenia Biggs; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Brantly Russell Biggs and extend our sincere condolences to
15his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Brantly Biggs as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
