| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Sgt. Andrew John "Drew" Faught, who |
| 4 | | passed away on April 8, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Sgt. Faught was born in Joliet to Timothy Faught |
| 6 | | and Linda Melby on February 22, 1997; he was raised in Morris |
| 7 | | and graduated from Morris Community High School in 2014; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Sgt. Faught served as an officer for the Illinois |
| 9 | | Department of Corrections for six years, first at the Pontiac |
| 10 | | Correctional Center and most recently as a member of the |
| 11 | | Tactical Response Team; he was hardworking and committed to |
| 12 | | serving his community and coworkers; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Sgt. Faught loved sports, especially his time |
| 14 | | playing football with the Morris Chiefs and his time on the |
| 15 | | Morris Redskins football and wrestling teams; he also enjoyed |
| 16 | | weight lifting; the most important thing to him was his |
| 17 | | family, and he was a devoted son, brother, and uncle; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Sgt. Faught was preceded in death by his |
| 19 | | grandmothers, Martha Senisais, Betty Faught, and Jeannie Male; |
| 20 | | his sister, Ashleigh Elizabeth Faught; his uncle, Ricardo |
| 21 | | Senisais; and his aunt, Debra Ann Senisais; and |
