| 2 | | WHEREAS, A child's parents are the foremost authority in |
| 3 | | the needs of the child; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Every day, mothers and grandmothers stand up for |
| 5 | | the rights of their children and advocate for their needs; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Many of these parents and grandparents visit the |
| 7 | | Illinois State Capitol in Springfield to advocate on behalf of |
| 8 | | legislation that supports their children's rights; therefore, |
| 9 | | be it
|
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare May 7, 2025 |
| 12 | | as Moms on a Mission Day in the State of Illinois to honor the |
| 13 | | mothers, grandmothers, fathers, and families who stand up for |
| 14 | | children's rights; and be it further
|
| 15 | | RESOLVED, That we welcome the mothers, grandmothers, |
| 16 | | fathers, and families at the Illinois State Capitol on May 7, |
| 17 | | 2025, particularly those who are here for the first time, to |
| 18 | | join in the efforts to stand up for children's rights. |
