SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Marjorie Logman; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Marjorie Logman was born to Bert and Ann Johnson
5in Batavia on June 10, 1948; she graduated from Madonna High
6School in 1966, and she attended Creighton University from
71966 to 1970; she married Edward Logman in 1970; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marjorie Logman taught kindergarten for several
9years, and she took great pride and joy in hearing from her
10former students; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marjorie Logman enjoyed all aspects of music,
12whether she was listening, playing the piano, playing the
13autoharp, or singing; she was an intellectually curious person
14and an avid reader and took many classes in wide-ranging
15subject matters; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Marjorie Logman served as a member and former
17treasurer of the Batavia Historical Society, and she assisted
18in the efforts to create a historical archive for Madonna High
19School; she greatly enjoyed researching, organizing, and
20creating historical articles; and

1    WHEREAS, Marjorie Logman was a longtime resident of
2Aurora, where she was highly active in civic affairs and
3politics, including advocating for senior citizens, regularly
4speaking at City Council meetings, and participating in
5drafting legislation to protect seniors; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Marjorie Logman is survived by her children,
7Jason (Elisabeth) Logman, Aaron Logman, and Sarah Logman, and
8her grandson, Benjamin Logman; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Marjorie Logman and extend our sincere condolences to her
12family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Marjorie Logman as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
