SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Keywan Cordell Glenn Sr.; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn was born to Daphine Glenn and James
5White on August 20, 1979; he graduated from Austin High School
6in 1988; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn previously worked for multiple
8owner-operated trucking companies and the Chicago Transit
9Authority (CTA); at the time of his passing, he was employed as
10a service clerk for the United States Postal Service, where he
11was training to become a freight driver; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn was a ten-year member of Legendary
13Legends M.C., where he served as the head sergeant at arms and
14rode over 5,000 miles with the motorcycle club; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn loved barbecuing and riding
16Harley-Davidson motorcycles; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn, better known as "China Man", was a
18devoted and loving father with a big heart who shared his love
19and life lessons with everyone; he will be especially
20remembered as someone who made the world a better place

1through his patience and unwavering willingness to forgive;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn was the fiance of Schanel Shaw; the
4father of Kayla Glenn, Savannah Glenn, Kailani Glenn, Amara
5Shaw-Glenn, and Keywan Lontee Glenn Jr.; the father figure of
6Chloe Shaw, Antwaushea Sago, Gerald Smiter, and Zaria Blaxton;
7the brother of Talia White, Samora Brawner, Shauniqua Brawner,
8and Darrien White; the grandson of Virginia Glenn; the
9great-nephew of Betty; the nephew of Brenda Glenn and Darryl
10Glenn; and a relative and friend to many; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Keywan Cordell Glenn Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to
14his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Keywan Glenn as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
