SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Marie E. Tayfel of Mount Greenwood,
4who passed away on January 19, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marie Tayfel was a dedicated public servant and
6community leader in Bloomingdale; she served as the clerk for
7the Village of Bloomingdale from 1980 to 1992; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marie Tayfel served as a former president of the
9Bloomingdale Women's Club and was a member of the original Old
10Town Board, helping to preserve the historic charm of
11Bloomingdale; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Marie Tayfel was known for her warmth,
13generosity, and unwavering commitment to service; she was
14always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Marie Tayfel was preceded in death by her
16parents, Ferdinand and Elsie LaManna; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marie Tayfel is survived by her husband, Richard
18J. Tayfel; her children, Rick (Deborah) Tayfel, Anthony
19(Eithne) Tayfel, and Tracy Tayfel; her grandchildren, Taylor,
20Emily, Gabriella, Aidan, Mary, Alex, and Sadie; and other

1relatives, friends, and her beloved dog, Bailey; therefore, be

3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Marie E. Tayfel and extend our sincere condolences to her
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Marie Tayfel as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
