| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened  | 
| 3 |  | to learn of the death of James Michael "Jim" Udesen, who passed  | 
| 4 |  | away on February 17, 2025; and   | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, Jim Udesen was born to Rosalind 'Rusty' Daum in  | 
| 6 |  | Elgin on August 7, 1981 and was raised by his grandparents,  | 
| 7 |  | John and Joanne Udesen; he was also very close to his uncles,  | 
| 8 |  | Russell "Earl" Udesen and Charles "Chuck" Udesen who played a  | 
| 9 |  | big part in his childhood years; and   | 
| 10 |  |     WHEREAS, Jim Udesen served with the McHenry Sheriff's  | 
| 11 |  | Department for over 21 years; and   | 
| 12 |  |     WHEREAS, Jim Udesen impacted the lives of many through  | 
| 13 |  | coaching baseball, serving not only as a coach but as a mentor  | 
| 14 |  | and role model; many of his players carried his lessons long  | 
| 15 |  | after the final inning was played; and   | 
| 16 |  |     WHEREAS, Jim Udesen was affectionately know as "Jimmy",  | 
| 17 |  | "Udesen", or "Ude"; he had a deep bond with his siblings and  | 
| 18 |  | built an extended family out of friends and the community  | 
| 19 |  | around him; and   | 
| 20 |  |     WHEREAS, Jim Udesen had a gift for making people feel  |
