SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Raymond D. "Ray" Craig of Varna, who
4passed away on December 26, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ray Craig was born to Gaylord and Dorothy Craig
6in Wenona on November 15, 1942; he served in the U.S. Marine
7Corps; he married his wife, Donna, in Toluca on March 22, 1969,
8and she preceded him in death in 2019; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ray Craig retired from BF Goodrich in Henry after
10a 38-year career; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ray Craig was a lifelong member of the American
12Legion and an avid outdoorsman; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ray Craig took great pride in the achievements of
14his children and grandchildren, and he enjoyed supporting them
15by attending countless ball games, concerts, plays, and
16musicals over the years; he will be remembered for his
17willingness to help his family, friends, and the community
18whenever he was needed; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ray Craig is survived by his children, Jack
20(Cory) Craig, Kelly (Jay) Finagle, and Mike McAllister; his

1sister, Virginia Moro; his brothers, Wayne Craig and Gene
2Craig; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Raymond D. "Ray" Craig and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Ray Craig as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
