SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Mattie R. Luck of Springfield, who
4passed away on January 28, 2025; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was born in Springfield to Russel and
6Mattie Lynn Anders on December 3, 1949; she married Ronnie
7Luck on November 4, 1988; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was a receptionist at St. John's
9Hospital for many years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was a faithful and dedicated member
11of East Keys Baptist Church in Springfield; in her free time,
12she enjoyed her favorite hobby and passion of photography; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mattie Luck was preceded in death by her parents;
14her sister, Letha Houston; and her brother, Richard F. Anders;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Mattie Luck is survived by her husband, Ronnie;
17her daughter, Michelle Bartolazzi; her stepdaughter, Debra
18(Brad) Geuther; her stepson, Ken (Gwen) Luck; her
19grandchildren, Jade Geuther, Nigel Lizarraga, Garrett Luck,
20and Jenna Luck; eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Joan

1Nichols; her brother, Russell S. Anders; her granddog, Bailey
2Joe; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be

4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Mattie R. Luck and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Mattie Luck as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
