SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jason R. McHughs of Elco, who passed
4away on December 13, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jason McHughs, the son of Eric "Jae" McHughs and
6Sherri Miller, was born in Murphysboro on July 20, 1991; he
7served in the U.S. Army; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jason McHughs enjoyed making art, including
9through painting, woodworking, designing tattoos, and playing
10the guitar; he loved attending and participating in festivals;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jason McHughs fiercely loved his family; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jason McHughs was preceded in death by his
14paternal grandfather, Charles McHughs, and his paternal
15great-grandfather, Gene Franklin; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jason McHughs is survived by his fiancee,
17Brittany Dailey; his children, Rilynn McHughs, Leland McHughs,
18and Tyrstonn McHughs; his parents; his stepfather, Robert
19Klein; his siblings, Chelsea McHughs, Dominic Davison, and
20Cady Davison; numerous other step and adopted siblings; his

1paternal grandmother, Debby McHughs; his paternal
2great-grandmother, Shirley Franklin; his maternal
3grandparents, Henry and Alice Houston and James and Marty
4Sadler; his fiancee's parents, Randy (Tasha) Dailey and Julie
5(Mikie) Poole; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,
6relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Jason McHughs and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jason McHughs as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
