SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to 
3congratulate Debra Karr on the occasion of achieving her 40th 
4year of teaching at St. Albert the Great Catholic School in 
5Burbank; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Debra Karr earned her Bachelor of Arts in 
7Education from St. Xavier University in Chicago; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Debra Karr has remained dedicated to the care and 
9development of her students at St. Albert the Great Catholic 
10School over the course of her 40-year career; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Debra Karr has held a longtime adoration for St. 
12Albert the Great Catholic School since she was a little girl 
13when her grandmother served as a teacher there; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Debra Karr is the wife of Brian and the mother of 
15Alex and Caitlin, and both of her children have expressed 
16aspirations to follow in her footsteps as educators; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Debra Karr, in commemoration of this historic 
18milestone, will be awarded Person of the Year by St. Albert the 
19Great Catholic School on February 7, 2025; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Debra 
3Karr on celebrating her 40th anniversary of teaching at St. 
4Albert the Great Catholic School, and we thank her for her 
5enduring commitment and service to her students; and be it 
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Debra Karr as an expression of our esteem and 
9respect.
