| 2 |  |     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened  | 
| 3 |  | to learn of the death of Charles Robert "Chuck" Maskel of  | 
| 4 |  | Pekin, who passed away on December 8, 2024; and   | 
| 5 |  |     WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel was born in Georgetown to Jess and  | 
| 6 |  | Effie (Good) Maskel on June 6, 1928; he served in the U.S.  | 
| 7 |  | Army; he married Leatha Mae Gray in Bloomington on May 21,  | 
| 8 |  | 1949; and   | 
| 9 |  |     WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel worked in the rod mill for Keystone  | 
| 10 |  | Wire & Steel in Bartonville, retiring in 1982; and   | 
| 11 |  |     WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening,  | 
| 12 |  | and reading western novels written by William Johnstone; and   | 
| 13 |  |     WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel was preceded in death by his wife,  | 
| 14 |  | Leatha; his parents; his granddaughter, Brandi Maskel; his  | 
| 15 |  | sisters, Dorothy, Juanita, and Midge; his brothers, Frank,  | 
| 16 |  | Clarence, and J.D.; and his sister-in-law, Mary Maskel; and   | 
| 17 |  |     WHEREAS, Chuck Maskel is survived by his daughters,  | 
| 18 |  | Juliann (Tom) Slicko and Dawn Maskel; his grandchildren,  | 
| 19 |  | Brittany Maskel, Joshua (Hanna) Wagner, and Mallory Wagner;  | 
| 20 |  | his great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Maskel, Breanna Maskel,  |
