| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Thomas Lee Kennedy, who passed away on |
| 4 | | November 17, 2024; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy was born to Charles and Mildred |
| 6 | | (Athen) Kennedy in Peoria on February 28, 1939; he served in |
| 7 | | the U.S. Navy from November 1957 to March 1962; he married |
| 8 | | Betsy Hilton in Peoria on December 28, 1962; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy worked as a foreman for |
| 10 | | Caterpillar, Inc., retiring in 1994; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy was preceded in death by his |
| 12 | | parents and his wife; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy is survived by his family, Charles |
| 14 | | Kennedy, Thomas Kennedy, Sean Kennedy, and Dixie Miller, and |
| 15 | | many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
|
| 16 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 17 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 18 | | Thomas Lee Kennedy and extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 19 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
