HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Bentley Kahne Wolfe, who passed away on March 6, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Bentley Wolfe was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to Jacob and Samantha (Fletcher) Wolfe on April 3, 2010; he attended Chrisman High School, where he played basketball for the Cardinals and baseball for the Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School Buffaloes; and

WHEREAS, Bentley Wolfe was a member of the Chrisman High School chapter of the Future Farmers of America and enjoyed farming and tractors, trucks, guns, four-wheelers, and being with his friends and girlfriend; and

WHEREAS, Bentley Wolfe was known for his positive and loving demeanor; and

WHEREAS, Bentley Wolfe's friends started #LLBW (Love Like Bentley Wolfe), and a vigil was held at Chrisman High School on March 6, 2026, where hundreds of members of the community wore green to honor and remember him; and

WHEREAS, Bentley Wolfe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Wolfe, and his great-grandparents, John and Shirley Fletcher; and

WHEREAS, Bentley Wolfe is survived by his parents; his sisters, Morgan Simpson, Lucy Wolfe, Hadley Wolfe, Madalynn Wolfe, and Londyn Krabel; his brothers, Ely Wolfe and Ty Krabel; his grandparents, Mike and Laura Fletcher and Harry and Carissa Wiseman; his great-grandparents, Chuck and Kay Wolfe; his great-grandmother, Shirley Harvey; his girlfriend, Randi Rollings; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, teammates, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bentley Kahne Wolfe and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bentley Wolfe as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
