| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Molly McCalla on earning |
| 4 | | the 2025 National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Agricultural |
| 5 | | Proficiency Award for Sheep Production, the highest national |
| 6 | | recognition for excellence in agricultural entrepreneurship |
| 7 | | and supervised agricultural experience; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, This prestigious national honor distinguishes |
| 9 | | Molly McCalla among the nation's top youth agricultural |
| 10 | | leaders and exemplifies the highest level of achievement |
| 11 | | within the National FFA Organization; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Molly McCalla further demonstrated her continued |
| 13 | | excellence by earning the 2026 Illinois FFA Agricultural |
| 14 | | Proficiency Award for Diversified Livestock Production due to |
| 15 | | her engagement in poultry egg production and Angus cattle |
| 16 | | operations in addition to her sheep enterprise; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Molly McCalla is a senior member of the Staunton |
| 18 | | FFA Organization and the 2026 recipient of the Murray State |
| 19 | | University Presidential Fellowship Scholarship in Kentucky; |
| 20 | | and |
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Through her ownership and operation of a |

| 1 | | Southdown sheep flock, Molly McCalla has developed advanced |
| 2 | | skills in livestock management, including daily care, |
| 3 | | nutrition, health, and show preparation, exemplifying the |
| 4 | | practical application of agricultural education; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Molly McCalla's accomplishments highlight the |
| 6 | | critical role of youth leadership in advancing agricultural |
| 7 | | innovation, sustainability, and stewardship, which are |
| 8 | | essential to Illinois' multibillion-dollar agricultural |
| 9 | | economy; therefore, be it |
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 11 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 12 | | we congratulate Molly McCalla on her National Future Farmers |
| 13 | | of America (FFA) Agricultural Proficiency Award for Sheep |
| 14 | | Production and her continued success at the state level; and |
