HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Chicago Metropolitan
4Chapter and the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter of the
5National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. on their years of
6service to the State of Illinois; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the Aurora
8Illinois Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition of 100
9Black Women, Inc. have both demonstrated a steadfast
10commitment to advocacy, leadership, and service within their
11respective communities and across the State of Illinois; and
 
12    WHEREAS, The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc.
13is dedicated to advocating on behalf of Black women and girls
14to promote leadership development and gender equity in the
15areas of health, education, and economic empowerment; and
 
16    WHEREAS, The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the Aurora
17Illinois Metropolitan Chapter continue to uphold this mission
18through impactful programming, civic engagement, and community
19partnerships that strengthen families and uplift underserved
20communities throughout the Chicago metropolitan and Aurora
21regions; and

1    WHEREAS, The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the Aurora
2Illinois Metropolitan Chapter host a Legislative Day at the
3Illinois State Capitol, providing a vital opportunity for
4members to engage with policymakers, advocate for equitable
5legislation, and amplify the voices of those they serve; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Under the distinguished leadership of Dr. Latrice
7Eggleston Williams and Michele Clark, the Chicago Metropolitan
8Chapter and the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter have
9advanced initiatives that foster empowerment, civic
10responsibility, and sustainable community impact; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The presence of both the Chicago Metropolitan
12Chapter and the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter at the
13Illinois State Capitol for their Legislative Day on April 16,
142026 reflects the organizations' enduring commitment to
15justice, equity, and meaningful civic participation;
16therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
18HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19we congratulate the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the
20Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition
21of 100 Black Women, Inc. on their outstanding contributions to
22the State of Illinois; and be it further
