| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Chicago Metropolitan |
| 4 | | Chapter and the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter of the |
| 5 | | National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. on their years of |
| 6 | | service to the State of Illinois; and |
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the Aurora |
| 8 | | Illinois Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 |
| 9 | | Black Women, Inc. have both demonstrated a steadfast |
| 10 | | commitment to advocacy, leadership, and service within their |
| 11 | | respective communities and across the State of Illinois; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. |
| 13 | | is dedicated to advocating on behalf of Black women and girls |
| 14 | | to promote leadership development and gender equity in the |
| 15 | | areas of health, education, and economic empowerment; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the Aurora |
| 17 | | Illinois Metropolitan Chapter continue to uphold this mission |
| 18 | | through impactful programming, civic engagement, and community |
| 19 | | partnerships that strengthen families and uplift underserved |
| 20 | | communities throughout the Chicago metropolitan and Aurora |
| 21 | | regions; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, The Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the Aurora |
| 2 | | Illinois Metropolitan Chapter host a Legislative Day at the |
| 3 | | Illinois State Capitol, providing a vital opportunity for |
| 4 | | members to engage with policymakers, advocate for equitable |
| 5 | | legislation, and amplify the voices of those they serve; and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Under the distinguished leadership of Dr. Latrice |
| 7 | | Eggleston Williams and Michele Clark, the Chicago Metropolitan |
| 8 | | Chapter and the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter have |
| 9 | | advanced initiatives that foster empowerment, civic |
| 10 | | responsibility, and sustainable community impact; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, The presence of both the Chicago Metropolitan |
| 12 | | Chapter and the Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter at the |
| 13 | | Illinois State Capitol for their Legislative Day on April 16, |
| 14 | | 2026 reflects the organizations' enduring commitment to |
| 15 | | justice, equity, and meaningful civic participation; |
| 16 | | therefore, be it |
| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 18 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 19 | | we congratulate the Chicago Metropolitan Chapter and the |
| 20 | | Aurora Illinois Metropolitan Chapter of the National Coalition |
| 21 | | of 100 Black Women, Inc. on their outstanding contributions to |
