HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Teryn
4Robinson, who passed away on January 30, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson attended Millikin University,
6where she pursued an undergraduate degree in English; she
7furthered her pursuit of knowledge at the graduate school of
8Illinois State University in Normal, receiving master's
9degrees in English studies and college student personnel
10administration; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson worked for Saint Xavier
12University, Lake Forest College, and most recently, Loyola
13University Chicago; she brought her scintillating and magnetic
14personality to every institution that had the privilege of
15hosting her, and Loyola was last to enjoy this privilege,
16where she served as assistant director for advising
17technologies in first and second year advising due to her
18critical thinking skills and dedication to student
19improvement; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson went above and beyond her duties
21at Loyola and was involved in University Senate, QUEST
22mentoring, and the LUC Pride Network Affinity Group; she

1emphasized collaboration and candor in her interactions with
2students and colleagues and made sure that all who had the
3pleasure of crossing her path felt the warmth and creativity
4she worked so hard to foster in her community; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Teryn Robinson was committed not only to her
6profession but to her loved ones as well; she married Anne
7Fisher in 2008, with whom she had their only son, Simon, in
82012; she was an eclectic and passionate individual who
9immersed herself in urban planning, women's soccer, Star Trek,
10and most importantly, her son, of whom she could not be
11prouder; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
13HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
14we mourn the passing of Teryn Robinson and extend our
15sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
16and loved her; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Teryn Robinson as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
