HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives with to congratulate the Jacksonville Middle
4School cheer team, the Crimsons, on winning two state titles
5at the 2026 Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association (ICCA)
6Championship and a state title and a third place finish at the
72026 Illinois Elementary School Association (IESA)
8Cheerleading State Championship; and
 
9    WHEREAS, The Crimsons cheer team was named state champion
10in both the Large Junior High Game Day Division and the Medium
11Junior High Division at the ICCA Championship, which was held
12in Springfield on January 11, 2026; and
 
13    WHEREAS, The Crimsons cheer team was named state champion
14in the Game Day Cheer Division and awarded third place in the
15Class 2A Routine Division at the IESA Cheerleading State
16Championship, which was held in Peoria on February 11, 2026;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, The Crimsons cheer team is led by Coach Emily
19Hudson; and
 
20    WHEREAS, The Crimsons cheer team includes sixth graders
21Eady Brickey, Henli Darnell, Maddy Klendworth, and Bailey

1Padilla, seventh graders Halle Armstrong, Jayden Batty, Addie
2Hudson, Miley Klendworth, Sandra Laux, Kaylie McElroy, Breezy
3Sorrell, and Hadley Walker, and eighth graders Lydia Baptist,
4Violet Brockhouse, Kinsli Dobson, Hilary English, Marley
5McGuire, Layla Prather, and Ellie Scott; and
 
6    WHEREAS, The Crimsons cheer team's successes reflect its
7members' hard work and determination to win, making their
8entire hometown of Jacksonville extremely proud; therefore, be
9it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we congratulate the Jacksonville Middle School cheer team, the
13Crimsons, on winning two state titles at the 2026 Illinois
14Cheerleading Coaches Association (ICCA) Championship and a
15state title and a third place finish at the 2026 Illinois
16Elementary School Association (IESA) Cheerleading State
17Championship, and we wish the team many more triumphant
18seasons; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
20presented to Coach Emily Hudson and the players of the
21Crimsons cheer team as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
