HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, Registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs) are 
3food and nutrition experts who translate the science of 
4nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living; and
 
5    WHEREAS, RDNs hold degrees in nutrition, dietetics, public 
6health, or related fields from accredited colleges and 
7universities, complete supervised practice requirements, and 
8pass a national examination; and
 
9    WHEREAS, RDNs use their expertise to help individuals make 
10personalized, positive lifestyle changes; and
 
11    WHEREAS, RDNs serve communities in hospitals, schools, 
12public health clinics, nursing homes, fitness centers, 
13universities, research institutions, private practice, food 
14service management, and the food industry; and
 
15    WHEREAS, RDNs are advocates for improving the nutritional 
16status of people in the United States and around the world; 
17therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
19HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we declare March 11, 2026 as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

1Day in the State of Illinois; and be it further
 
2    RESOLVED, That we encourage all residents of Illinois to 
3recognize the valuable contributions of registered dietitian 
4nutritionists and express our appreciation for their 
5commitment to promoting science-based nutrition to improve 
6health outcomes today and in the future.
