| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Eric |
| 4 | | Wayne "Rick" Zehr, who passed away on March 7, 2026; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rick Zehr was born to Kendall and Irene Zehr in |
| 6 | | Pontiac on July 9, 1962; he grew up working at the family |
| 7 | | hatchery and mill; he received a Bachelor of Science in |
| 8 | | Psychology from Eastern Illinois University and a Master of |
| 9 | | Science in Clinical Psychology from Illinois State University; |
| 10 | | he married Jennifer Schieber Clyatt on March 4, 1994; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Rick Zehr worked in healthcare, dedicating much |
| 12 | | of his career to addiction medicine; he led the Addiction |
| 13 | | Recovery Center at Proctor Hospital for many years, and he |
| 14 | | most recently served as part of Carle Health's Trillium Place |
| 15 | | team; he was gifted in his ability to create new programs and |
| 16 | | drive addiction treatment forward; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Rick Zehr was passionate about music, sports, and |
| 18 | | his family, and he treasured spending time with family and |
| 19 | | friends attending concerts, hanging out at the cabin, and |
| 20 | | playing with his grandchildren; and |
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Rick Zehr was a people person who always listened |
