1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Uniform Emergency Volunteer Health
5Practitioners Act is amended by changing Section 6 as follows:
 
6    (225 ILCS 140/6)
7    Sec. 6. Recognition of volunteer health practitioners
8licensed in other states.
9    (a) While an emergency declaration is in effect, a
10volunteer health practitioner, registered with a registration
11system that complies with Section 5 and licensed and in good
12standing in the state upon which the practitioner's
13registration is based, may practice in this State to the
14extent authorized by this Act as if the practitioner were
15licensed in this State. If a state licensed health or mental
16health professional with a valid license from another state or
17territory is operating under the auspices of the American Red
18Cross, the professional may practice in this State to the
19extent authorized by this Act as if the practitioner were
20licensed in this State, regardless of whether an emergency
21declaration is in effect.
22    (b) A volunteer health practitioner qualified under
23subsection (a) is not entitled to the protections of this Act

1if any license of the practitioner is suspended, revoked, or
2subject to an agency order limiting or restricting practice
3privileges, or has been voluntarily terminated under threat of
4sanction.
