<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>730 ILCS 5/3-2-2</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Provides that when the Department of Corrections enters into a contract with a tablet vendor to provide committed persons with content-controlled tablets that are equipped with free and fee-based technology services for, but not limited to, accessing scanned mail, making authorized video calls, and viewing movies, books, or other authorized materials, the contract must provide that the tablet vendor shall remit to the Department an amount equal to 10% of the profits derived from any fees collected from the committed persons for the use of the fee-based technology services. Provides that the requirements of the provision shall apply to contracts entered into on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
