Provides that a person commits domestic battery if he or she knowingly without legal justification by any means engages in coercive control over a family or household member. Defines "coercive control". Amends the Protective Orders Article of the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 and the Illinois Domestic Violence Act of 1986. Includes coercive control in the definition of "abuse". Defines "coercive control".</SynopsisText></synopsis>
