SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Theresa Marie (Fera) Martino, who
4passed away on September 18, 2023 at the age of 94; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Theresa Martino was an accomplished fashion
6designer, touring the globe in support of her career; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Theresa Martino did not see her success as a
8designer as her biggest accomplishment; instead, she was most
9proud of being a standout wife and a mother; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Theresa Martino enjoyed cooking, interior design,
11and fashion, and every person that met her loved her; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Theresa Martino was a woman of strong faith,
13which was central in her life; she believed in praying the
14Rosary daily and never missed a Sunday Mass; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Theresa Martino spent her final days resting in
16the same house in which she lived for the 57 years prior,
17surrounded by the people she loved; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Theresa Martino was preceded in death by her
19husband, Frank; her siblings, Joseph, Gregory, Dominic,

1Antoinette, Martha, and Kay; and her daughter, Madilyn
2(Richard) Nabicht; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Theresa Martino is survived by her sibling, Toni
4Galloro; her children, Angela (William) Kenny and Maria
5(Darwin) Moen; her grandchildren, Billy Kenny, Frank Moen,
6Tara Nabicht, and Nick Moen; and countless nieces, nephews,
7and dear friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Theresa Marie (Fera) Martino and extend our sincere
11condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
12her; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Theresa Marie Martino as an
15expression of our deepest sympathy.
