| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Stephanie G. Wood of Bolingbrook, who |
| 4 | | passed away on September 15, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Stephanie Wood, the daughter of Fernando and |
| 6 | | Diane (Munoz) Esparza, was born in Oak Park on August 19, 1984; |
| 7 | | she received her undergraduate degree from DePaul University |
| 8 | | and her law degree from the John Marshall Law School, now known |
| 9 | | as the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Stephanie Wood worked in graduate admissions at |
| 11 | | her alma mater, DePaul University, for the past six years; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Stephanie Wood was active in the martial art of |
| 13 | | Taekwondo for the majority of her life and had obtained her |
| 14 | | black belt; and |
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Stephanie Wood enjoyed playing board games, |
| 16 | | poker, and video games and exploring her creativity, including |
| 17 | | painting and building unique projects for her home; she adored |
| 18 | | all dogs but especially loved her two late dogs, Bree and |
| 19 | | Oscar; she loved being with her family and friends, including |
| 20 | | entertaining them at countless themed parties and arranging |
| 21 | | group vacations; and |
