| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Joseph Martin "Joe" McKenna of Erie, |
| 4 | | who passed away on April 22, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Joe McKenna, the son of Martin and Kathryn |
| 6 | | (Riordon) McKenna, was born in Sterling on August 14, 1944; he |
| 7 | | served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he married |
| 8 | | Frances Dean Hanks, and she preceded him in death in 1974; he |
| 9 | | later married Gloria Rosenow at the Erie United Methodist |
| 10 | | Church on November 23, 1985; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Joe McKenna worked as a welder at John Deere |
| 12 | | Harvester for 30 years, retiring in 2003; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Joe McKenna and his wife, Gloria, operated an |
| 14 | | antique shop for 14 years, and they worked at many antique |
| 15 | | shows on weekends; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Joe McKenna enjoyed gardening and working on the |
| 17 | | farm; he also enjoyed going to casinos and playing cards with |
| 18 | | family; and |
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Joe McKenna was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 20 | | his son, Joseph McKenna; his brothers, Tom and Clare; and his |
