| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of James J. "Jim" Louch Sr., who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 1, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jim Louch was born in Joliet to Benjamin and |
| 6 | | Hazel (Edwards) Louch on November 29, 1933; he attended St. |
| 7 | | Patrick High School in Chicago; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jim Louch was a member of Laborers Union Local 75 |
| 9 | | and then worked for Will County, retiring from the Land Use |
| 10 | | Department; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jim Louch was a member of the Croatian Cultural |
| 12 | | Club and Joliet Township Seniors; he was the past president |
| 13 | | and a lifetime member of the Chaney Progressive Club, a |
| 14 | | lifelong member of the Moose Club, and a longtime parishioner |
| 15 | | and usher at St. Anne's Catholic Church; and |
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Jim Louch had an amazing sense of humor and could |
| 17 | | make everyone around him smile; he enjoyed writing poems, |
| 18 | | watching westerns on TV, and, most of all, spending time with |
| 19 | | his family; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Jim Louch was preceded in death by his parents; |
