| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Wade Bedwell of Blandinsville, who |
| 4 | | passed away on March 20, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Wade Bedwell was born to Bernard and Viola Irwin |
| 6 | | Bedwell in Industry on December 27, 1930; he initially resided |
| 7 | | in Industry before moving to Littleton and then Blandinsville; |
| 8 | | he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War; he married |
| 9 | | Barbara Joann Perry in Hersman on October 14, 1956, and she |
| 10 | | preceded him in death on December 18, 2014; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Wade Bedwell worked as a lineman for the Rural |
| 12 | | Electrification Administration (REA) and the McDonough |
| 13 | | Telephone Cooperative before becoming a proud farmer; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Wade Bedwell was a member of the Blandinsville |
| 15 | | United Methodist Church, the LaHarpe Masonic Lodge, and the |
| 16 | | Quincy Consistory; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Wade Bedwell was preceded in death by his |
| 18 | | parents; his son, Gary Bedwell; his brothers, Donnie and Duane |
| 19 | | Bedwell; and his daughter-in-law, Crystal Bedwell; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Wade Bedwell is survived by his children, Daryl |
